Zurich is seeking a Senior Liability Trial Attorney to join our in-house Staff Legal team. This attorney will represent commercial insureds of a reputable and financially stable insurance carrier, handling complex and high-exposure General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases.

At Zurich North America Claims, we prioritize work-life balance and flexibility. Our hybrid work model allows employees to work remotely with in-person collaboration on designated days. The position reports to our Atlanta, GA Staff Legal Office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of insurance defense, including investigation, legal analysis, pleadings, legal research, pre-trial discovery, hearings, trials, and post-trial activities.
2. Demonstrate strong case analysis, trial, and negotiation skills.
3. Work independently and collaboratively, utilizing video conferencing and digital systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree with 7+ years in Litigation.
• Active Georgia State Bar membership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Lexis or Westlaw.
• Knowledge of insurance industry, claims, and defense litigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as First Chair in jury trials.
• Handling insurance claims and commercial litigation, including wrongful death, motor vehicle torts, premises liability, and personal injury.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with effective budgeting and legal knowledge.
• Prior insurance defense experience and PC literacy.

Compensation and Additional Information
