Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Learning and Development Specialist to design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions. The role partners with stakeholders to drive employee development and organizational performance through multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, and eLearning.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in corporate L&D and 3+ years in instructional design, with Docebo LMS administration and strong proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate Learning and Development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of instructional design experience.
• Experience administering a Learning Management System, with Docebo experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated end-to-end project or program management experience, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and closeout.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and learning evaluation methodologies.
• Hands-on experience developing learning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, or similar platforms.
• Experience developing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, video, and digital learning content.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to use Excel to aggregate, analyze, and interpret data, trends, and learning metrics.
• Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to develop structured, concise, and compelling presentations for various audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, project management, and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to travel as required based on program and business needs.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Dallas, TX, Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve learning solutions aligned with organizational goals and employee development priorities.
• Create and curate high-quality learning content using instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Lead medium- to large-scale Learning and Development projects, including needs assessment, scoping, planning, and evaluation.
• Translate business challenges and performance gaps into effective learning solutions.
• Ensure learning materials meet quality, accessibility, branding, and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop content across in-person, virtual, eLearning, video, and digital formats.
• Develop and deliver learning experiences and programs with leadership.
• Develop eLearning courses and digital content using Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Premiere, and Photoshop.
• Leverage AI, LMS, and emerging learning technologies to create scalable experiences.
• Support the administration and optimization of the Docebo LMS.
• Plan, organize, and manage workshops, events, and vendor coordination.
• Facilitate and provide support for in-person and virtual training sessions.
• Design and deploy course surveys and evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness.
• Analyze learner feedback and translate findings into improvements to content and delivery.
• Develop and maintain L&D metrics, dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Use data to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
• Stay current on L&D trends and best practices.
• Travel as needed based on program requirements.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 annually

Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Learning and Development Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity in Dallas, TX. This position will play a key role within the Human Resources and Learning & Development function, designing and delivering innovative learning solutions that support employee development, organizational performance, and business objectives.

The Senior Learning and Development Specialist will manage learning initiatives from initial needs assessment through design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This role will partner with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and leadership to create engaging learning experiences across multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, eLearning, video, and digital content.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of corporate Learning and Development experience, including 3+ years of instructional design and Learning Management System administration experience. Strong experience with Docebo, Articulate Storyline and Rise, Camtasia, Adobe tools, project management, and learning analytics is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve learning solutions aligned with organizational goals, business needs, and employee development priorities.
• Create and curate high-quality learning content using instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Lead medium- to large-scale Learning and Development projects, including needs assessment, scoping, planning, stakeholder coordination, implementation, evaluation, and project closeout.
• Translate business challenges, performance gaps, and development needs into effective learning solutions.
• Ensure learning materials meet established quality, accessibility, branding, and organizational standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and deliver learning content across in-person, virtual, eLearning, video, and other digital formats.
• Collaborate with Learning and Development leadership to design, develop, pilot, evaluate, and deliver new learning experiences and programs.
• Develop eLearning courses and digital learning content using authoring and editing tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Leverage artificial intelligence, Learning Management Systems, and emerging learning technologies to create scalable and effective learning experiences.
• Support the administration and optimization of the Docebo Learning Management System (LMS).
• Plan, organize, and manage Learning and Development workshops, programs, and events, including logistics, materials, vendor coordination, scheduling, and communications.
• Facilitate and provide support for in-person and virtual training sessions.
• Design and deploy course surveys and other evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness and participant experience.
• Analyze learner feedback and translate findings into actionable improvements to content, delivery, and overall learning effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain Learning and Development metrics, dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Use learning and workforce data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support data-driven decisions.
• Maintain learning content, documentation, resources, and program materials.
• Stay current on Learning and Development trends, instructional design methodologies, artificial intelligence applications, learning technologies, and industry best practices.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while consistently meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Collaborate effectively across teams while independently driving assigned projects and deliverables.
• Travel as needed based on organizational and program requirements.
