Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Lead Security Engineer to shape secure software solutions within the Cyber Technology & Controls group. You will drive risk-based security design across multi-domain efforts, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with regulatory and audit requirements.

You will partner with business leaders and stakeholders to address vulnerabilities, guide AI-enabled security analyses, and integrate secure SDLC practices with traceability and resiliency at the core.

Qualifications

• Formal security engineering certification or training and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Ability to design and implement enterprise security solutions.
• Experience with AI capabilities in security workflows and validation.
• Ability to review AI-driven recommendations for security, resiliency, and auditability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile security.
• Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability, and pen testing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable networks with multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation (e.g., synthesizing threat assessments), validating outputs and ensuring sensitive data is handled appropriately.
• Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
• Responsible for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency and security expectations.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise level security solutions
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support security engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) with ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
