Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Senior Architect / Technical Manager to lead software development teams, design end-to-end solutions, and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on with research, design, and implementation of scalable data and software systems.

You will own SDLC delivery across sprints and releases, architect cloud-native data pipelines, and collaborate with product owners and IT leadership to align technical decisions with business goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a lead software development role
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Java, Spring MVC, SQL Server, Git/GitHub, Web Services/APIs
• 3+ years of experience implementing or developing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Blue Yonder (JDA), Körber, Manhattan, or HighJump
• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, warehouse operations, and automation technologies
• Proven mentoring of developers, leading technical teams, and managing vendor relationships
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration across IT leadership and business stakeholders
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience with WebSphere, IBM MQ, Drools, and AKS

Responsibilities

• Lead development teams in evaluation, design, development, and implementation of software solutions
• Manage delivery within each Sprint and Release to ensure high-quality output and on-time execution
• Create end-to-end technical designs for WMS functionality including API/EDI integrations
• Coordinate with product owners to translate business requirements into technical designs and tests
• Define, document, and maintain application designs and system modifications
• Diagnose and resolve failures across software systems and integrations
• Guide SDLC activities from design to deployment and production support
• Collaborate with IT leadership to design and enhance cloud-based platform features
• Monitor KPIs to measure performance, reliability, and effectiveness of solutions

The Senior Architect / Technical Manager is responsible for leading and managing software development resources while remaining hands-on in the research, design, implementation, and support of software and data solutions. This role serves as a technical subject-matter expert and mentor, guiding development teams through the full software development lifecycle.
