Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. You will build microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven integrations with Kafka, on AWS, collaborating across product, QA, DevOps, frontend, and other teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of hands-on Java experience, deep knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, AWS deployments, and distributed systems, with strong problem-solving and Agile

Job description

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop Microservices-based applications and distributed backend systems.
• Build and deploy Java applications using AWS cloud services.
• Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs and services.
• Build and support asynchronous, event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka.
• Develop database-driven applications using Hibernate/JPA.
• Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries when required.
• Integrate backend services with external systems and third-party platforms.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Troubleshoot application issues and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and production delivery.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, frontend, and other engineering teams.

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands‑on Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
