Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a Senior Middleware Developer to design, develop, and support scalable middleware services and REST APIs using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes.

The role focuses on integrating with enterprise systems and healthcare data standards (CCD, HL7, FHIR), with remote-work flexibility and strong emphasis on CI/CD, Git, and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• Senior middleware developer with Core Java and Spring Boot required.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Kubernetes and PostgreSQL experience preferred.
• Healthcare data standards knowledge (CCD/HL7/FHIR) desired.
• Strong CI/CD and Git workflows.

We are seeking a Senior Middleware Developer with strong experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and API development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable middleware services and REST APIs that integrate with enterprise applications and databases.

Experience working with healthcare data standards such as CCD, HL7, and FHIR is highly desirable. Healthcare payer experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Core Java
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Hands‑on experience developing REST APIs / Microservices
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Ability to parse, transform, and process structured data from databases
• Experience working with JSON/XML
• Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices

Healthcare / Data Standards

• Experience working with CCD, HL7, and/or FHIR is preferred.
• Ability to understand and parse healthcare data and make the information available through APIs.
• Healthcare payer domain experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with API gateways and API management platforms
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
