Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Senior Java Engineer with over 8 years of experience. This role involves developing robust, scalable applications using Java 17+, Spring Framework, and SQL. The engineer will design RESTful services and enterprise solutions, optimize database queries, and contribute to backend architecture improvements.

Position Details:

• Type: Full-time / Contract to Hire
• Duration: 12+ months
• Location: Minneapolis, MN (REMOTE)

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, maintainable code using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and enterprise solutions
• Optimize SQL queries and database access
• Contribute to backend architecture improvements

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Java Core knowledge: Annotations, Generics, Enums, Stream API
• Experience with Spring Platform, MVC, Data JPA, and Integration
• Strong SQL skills (8+ years), knowledge of Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Experience with REST API design, UI Testing Frameworks, and Testing Libraries
• Knowledge of RedHat OpenShift, Docker, AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, etc.), Python, TypeScript, Terraform
• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, Event-Driven Architecture, and Integration Design
• Leadership experience and mentorship in IT projects

Nice-to-Haves:

• Monitoring and alerting tools (Datadog, OpsGenie)
• Agile (Scrum), Product Management experience

Compensation & Benefits:
