The IT Analyst Staff Spec, BI Developer is responsible for leveraging enterprise data to design, create, and maintain analyses, BI reports, and tools supporting clinical, business, and research operations at UVA Health. The role involves performing data analysis using appropriate methodologies and providing consultative analytics support to executives and leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position also offers technical guidance to fellow BI developers, contributing significantly to the BI team's mission.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Management, Logistics, or related fields, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years, or a Ph.D. with 3 years. Expertise in relational and multi-dimensional databases, schema design, indexing, referential integrity, and T-SQL is required. Proficiency with large datasets, Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to learn new software are essential. Remote work is permitted.
This role is primarily sedentary, involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel for meetings and programs may be required.
