Job summary

Synapse Tech Services seeks a Sr. Java Developer to write and review code primarily in Java, Javascript, and CFML, and to build applications using CF, HTML, AJAX, and NodeJS. You will troubleshoot performance and functional issues with Dynatrace and Splunk, and write complex SQL queries using PL/SQL.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 12 months of relevant experience. Travel to various U.S. locations may be required.

Job description

The Sr. Java Developer will write and review code using best practices and team guidelines primarily in Java, Javascript, and CFML. Build applications using CF, HTML, AJAX, and Nodes JS. Troubleshoot product issues for performance and functional issues using monitoring tools including Dynatrace and Splunk. Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures using PL/SQL. Debug and maintain web applications using ColdFusion and Angular JS. Work with the technical lead and product team to build application features that meet functional and non-functional criteria. Work with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate those into technical requirements. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; however, travel is not an inherent function of the position.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Twelve (12) months in the job offered or as a Software Engineer.
