Job summary

Photon seeks a Senior Developer (Java) to design, code, test, and deploy scalable Java/J2EE applications. You will build microservices with Spring Boot and related Spring technologies, collaborate with architects, and ensure high-quality software across distributed cloud environments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, with travel/relocation to various U.S. locations. You will contribute to enterprise-grade solutions in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related fields.
• Five years of experience in a related occupation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on coding, development, and unit testing using Java and J2EE technologies.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable web-based microservices applications using Spring Boot and other Spring technologies.
• Contribute to the design and development of enterprise applications using Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch).
• Collaborate with technical leads and architects to align with technology direction and standards.
• Develop highly scalable distributed microservices to support enterprise business requirements.
• Follow SDLC, prepare design documentation and technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of components.
• Conduct unit and system testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Ensure app performance meets operational standards.
• Design, code, debug, document, maintain, and enhance complex enterprise software.
• Participate in design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed and cloud-based environments.
