Job summary

Sonata Software in Auburn, Washington is seeking a Senior Java/Microservices Developer with 8+ years of enterprise experience to design and build cloud-based solutions for logistics.

You will work with Spring Boot, AWS, and microservices patterns, delivering secure, scalable applications while collaborating with global teams and participating in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native solutions for enterprise web applications and APIs.
• Build and deploy Spring Boot microservices using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) ensuring scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS services such as ECS, IAM, API Gateway, ELB, VPC, S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, Route53.
• Develop serverless components using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Serverless Framework.
• Implement and deploy RESTful APIs as reusable, loosely coupled microservices.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, MFA, SSO, Spring Security).
• Design and develop data layer components using ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA) and work with SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Conduct code reviews, unit/integration testing, performance tuning, and caching strategies.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies; provide technical mentoring to team members.
