Job Description:

The Traffic team is a crucial, high-visibility team. The traffic team manages a multi-layered global traffic routing platform that intelligently routes all ecommerce web traffic and connects cloud powered stores to the cloud. The capability offers helps Walmart delivery customer value by providing fastest & highly available user experience.

We work in a hybrid cloud environment where we manage and build custom load balancers using eBPF, L7 proxies (Torbit) and service mesh. We interact with external companies like CDNs and public cloud providers, and we also interact with many other teams inside Walmart that use our services. As an experienced Engineer, you will have a great deal of autonomy to drive the future of crucial traffic infrastructure for one of the largest eCommerce companies in the world! Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

7+ years of professional backend experience; you will mostly be working on servers.

Proficiency with Go, C++, Java or another server-side programming language.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Communicating with engineers is a part of the job.

Willing to dive into unfamiliar things. Sometimes bugs or features require us to dig into TCP/IP, the DNS spec, Walmart's logging infrastructure, Linux system administration, and more.

Experience with running infrastructure solutions across private and public cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS)

Comfortable working on a fully remote team.
