Overview:
IDT is seeking a Sr. IT Specialist who will administer and maintain Windows-based end-user computing systems to support corporate IT infrastructure and services across cloud, on-premise, and remote IDT offices. Main responsibilities include supporting the helpdesk, assisting engineers in fine-tuning networks and systems, and supporting end-user issues.
All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Minimum 3 days on-site staff support
- Day-to-day end-user support and timely ticket closure
- Administer Microsoft 365 environment (email, compliance, SharePoint, etc.)
- Image, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain end-user workstations
- Perform requirements analysis, translating business needs into IT resource specifications
- Develop internal and external documentation
- Asset management and procurement
- Provision end-user workstations per corporate and end-user needs
- Patching and maintenance of workstations and corporate servers, storage, cloud instances, and infrastructure
- Contribute to process improvements
- Manage lifecycle of hypervisors, automation software, enterprise virtual systems, and networks using management tools
- Ensure compliance with industry-standard IT security frameworks such as NIST
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
Required skills:
- Experience imaging end-user workstations
- Experience with enterprise domain/active directory
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Experience troubleshooting end-user issues in-person and remotely
- Extensive experience with Windows and Linux OS configuration and administration
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Basic networking knowledge (IP, subnetting)
- Ability to work in an agile environment and shift between projects
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to travel approximately 10% within the US
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
- Contribute to research and management of hardware/software solutions organization-wide
