Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager - Cross Functional for a remote contract. Lead global MES projects, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and multi-site deployments, while aligning with regulatory requirements.

You will manage plans, budgets, risks and cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, quality, validation and IT, coordinate with SAP/ERP, and ensure on-time delivery and compliant results across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading MES projects, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, or multi-site deployments.
• Ability to manage complex IT projects in global, matrixed organizations.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; rarely more than quarterly.
• Strong knowledge of Critical Manufacturing MES platform and related manufacturing applications.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, quality, validation, IT, and partners.
• Deep understanding of regulated environments with FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of global IT projects focused on MES and manufacturing systems.
• Manage MES implementations, upgrades, integrations, and site deployments from initiation to stabilization.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocations, budgets, and risk logs.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, financials, risks, issues, and change control processes.
• Coordinate between MES, SAP/ERP, Quality, PLM, automation, and data platforms for seamless integrations.
• Ensure validation and compliance activities meet FDA, GxP, and other regulatory standards.
• Manage vendors and system integrators, including contract scope and performance reviews.
• Lead steering committees, executive reporting, and governance reviews.
• Drive organizational change activities related to deployment and adoption.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Ensure smooth transition of projects to operations, including stabilization and business acceptance.

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager - Cross Functional to join our client’s team. This is a contract,remote position.

SALARY: $55 - $60 per hour (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience leading Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, or multi-site deployments
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, medium-to-large IT projects in global, matrixed organizations
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, with trips rarely exceeding once per quarter
• Strong knowledge of Critical Manufacturing MES platform and related manufacturing applications
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, quality, validation, IT, and external partners
• Deep understanding of regulated environments, including compliance with FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11
• Excellent vendor management skills, including SOW governance and deliverable oversight
