CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the design, development, and oversight of IT projects within a large federal agency. The role involves project planning, resource assessment, and implementing management plans, with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies.

Pay Range

This range is provided by CGS Federal. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience. Discuss with your recruiter for more details.

Base Pay Range

$137,280.00/yr - $198,293.66/yr

Job Responsibilities

1. Define project scope and schedule, focusing on delivering value regularly and timely.
2. Lead project status meetings and prepare progress reports.
3. Manage risks, issues, and deviations; plan deliveries accordingly.
4. Develop initiatives for continuous process improvements and monitoring.
5. Manage team decisions related to system implementation, modifications, and maintenance.
6. Develop and update business process documentation for testing and training.
7. Define and champion a project management process, promoting ongoing improvements.
8. Implement and facilitate agile tools, guidelines, and metrics for standardized project execution.
9. Monitor project costs, schedules, and quality standards.
10. Provide technical analysis reports to support agency discussions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
2. At least 5 years of project management experience, with leadership in multiple successful projects.
3. Experience managing IT projects, system design, and development in languages like JavaScript and Java.
4. Knowledge of API management, RESTful APIs, and cloud/on-premise environments.
5. Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and strong problem-solving skills.
6. Proven experience managing Agile Scrum teams.
7. Preferred: Master’s Degree or project management certification, security clearance, and experience in health and human services domains.
