Job Summary

The Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and facilitating cross functional teams, ensuring alignment with standard project and Agile/Scrum practices, and owning project execution of initiatives in supporting the IT strategic roadmap. The Project Manager Sr works with a Product Manager and other business stakeholders to determine scope and priorities, plan budget, manage expectations, regularly report project and team progress, and coordinate project delivery across the enterprise, utilizing the portfolio management methodology, framework, and governance. This role provides initiative/project status and conducts monthly steering team meetings to manage the project, implementation, and support. Provides servant leadership to an agile team by educating and coaching agile team members and stakeholders to maximize efficiencies, delivering incremental customer value, and embracing continuous improvement. This position will be part of the Information Technology team.

Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop cross‑functional teams including internal resources and third‑party vendors through all phases of project delivery, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, iteration planning, reviews, and retrospectives while monitoring team performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, ensuring work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned to defined scope and business objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks; proactively remove impediments; and negotiate dependencies across teams and departments.
  • Partner with Product Managers and technical leaders to translate business needs into actionable plans, requirements, and deliverables. Collaborate with Product Managers and Technical team members to understand business problems, project deliverables and ensure work is delivered on schedule, within budget and meets target scope.
  • Promote transparent communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels, ensuring alignment, expectation management, and timely escalation when needed.
  • Oversee the use of Agile and project management tools to manage backlogs, capacity, sprint plans, test plans, and release readiness.
  • Lead post‑release incident management, including root‑cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate status document for inclusion in the IT initiative portfolio and dashboard(s). Manage project resources and budgets with the portfolio management tool.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of IT project management experience, including leadership of large‑scale, cross‑functional, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile, hybrid Agile/Waterfall, and traditional project management methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven ability to lead with a growth mindset and servant leadership approach.
  • Advanced skills in business analysis, requirements facilitation, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance practices, test planning, and validation processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management and Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience delivering enterprise solutions for Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, or Engineering (e.g., CRM, MES, PLM, LMS, websites, applications).
  • Experience leading ERP project implementations
  • PMP, PMI‑ACP, SAFe, or Scrum Master certifications strongly preferred.
