The Sr. Project Engineer role at Atlas Technica is a detail-oriented, highly visible, client-facing position focusing on onboarding new clients. The role involves delivering technical projects, responding to inbound customer queries, and providing outbound customer advisories for technical onboarding in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Project Engineers, Sr. Project Engineers, and System Engineers, providing opportunities for rapid technical growth.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement technical and security solutions, transitioning work plans for client startups and existing infrastructures.
• Build out client infrastructures, including cloud-based SaaS solutions, virtual servers, networking equipment, desktops, laptops, and other office technology.
• Perform cloud and infrastructure assessments, making recommendations to enhance service offerings and add value.
• Improve implementation and integration processes through automation and known tools.
• Create and execute technical work plans to meet deadlines.
• Work proactively across teams to build relationships among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in research, design, and testing of new and existing technologies to support client objectives.
• Provide technical escalation support and act as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, providing updates on strategy, adjustments, and progress.
• Assist in training, upskilling, coaching, and mentoring engineers and interns.
• Attend client-facing meetings.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of IT experience (Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, Systems Administration).
• 1-3 years of end-user support/desktop support: Microsoft Windows, Office, device troubleshooting, network deployment.
• 2-3 years supporting cloud products: Microsoft 365, Box, Dropbox, SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure, Intune, Conditional Access.
• 1-3 years implementing and supporting enterprise networking equipment: Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Ubiquiti/Wireless Access Points.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure AD, Active Directory, Group Policy, and email troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing.
• 2-3 years supporting cybersecurity products: Mimecast, Sophos, Symantec, Proofpoint.
• Strong networking skills: TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, Firewalls.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and/or Microsoft Graph API for automation.
• Experience in the financial industry and familiarity with vendor applications like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, FactSet, CapIQ.

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience with Managed Services Providers and Public Cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability and goal orientation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Track record of completing projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
