Our client is looking for a Senior IT Governance Analyst with a strong risk-based mindset and excellent communication skills to help design and implement IT controls across a wide range of technologies. This role goes beyond auditing—it's about partnering with teams to build secure, compliant processes from the ground up. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early, addressed effectively, and aligned with both business goals and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will:

• Take a risk-first approach to evaluating technologies and business processes, identifying control needs and potential exposure points
• Collaborate with project and operations teams to design and implement effective, sustainable IT controls—not just inspect them
• Help drive the integration of control requirements into the service and system development lifecycle
• Partner with internal auditors and control owners to ensure clear documentation and traceable evidence for SOX and other compliance requirements
• Manage and maintain control data within AuditBoard or equivalent GRC tools, supporting audit readiness across multiple systems
• Write and maintain IT governance documentation, including control standards, policies, and process guides
• Identify compliance gaps, recommend improvements, and follow through on remediation efforts
• Support team operations with a strong sense of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
• Contribute to dashboards and reports that help leadership visualize risk posture and control performance

What We’re Looking For:

Must Have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in IT audit, governance, or risk management
• Solid understanding of SOX, IT general controls, and IT risk frameworks like NIST, COBIT, CIS, or ISO
• Familiarity with control design and implementation across diverse IT environments
• Strong experience working with GRC platforms (AuditBoard experience is a plus)
• Ability to review SOC reports and assess vendor or third-party controls
• Stellar communication skills – able to articulate complex risk and control concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Deep understanding of layered risk mitigation strategies, with the ability to craft creative and practical alternatives where technical limitations exist
• A problem-solving mindset that seeks root causes and long-term solutions—not just quick fixes
• Curiosity and initiative — asks the right questions, explores how systems work, and connects the dots across teams and technologies
• Knowledge of how business context influences risk decisions, particularly regarding data handling and system usage

Nice to Have:

• Industry certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, GCCC, or GSEC)
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure security controls
• Understanding of IT/OT systems and control environments in platforms like SAP S4, BTP, or C4C
• Familiarity with SDLC processes, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
• Background in service management frameworks such as ITIL v4
• Knowledge of AI and how it intersects with IT governance
• Proficiency in Power BI, advanced Excel, or basic data querying

Length of Assignment: 6 Months with planned conversion (Contract to Hire)

Compensation Range: up to $60 per hour
