Job summary

Amazon's Prime Video team in Los Angeles is seeking a Sr. IP Analyst to shape IP acquisition strategies and performance analytics across global markets.

You will build models, write SQL, and deliver dashboards that inform leadership about IP opportunities and ROI, partnering with creative, engineering and content strategy teams to drive data-driven decisions.

Sr. IP Analyst, Global IP & Literary Acquisitions

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Design and build comprehensive models to evaluate IP performance, market trends, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Develop SQL queries and analytical frameworks to extract insights from large, complex entertainment datasets.
  • Create models and perform trend analysis to identify market shifts with needle‑moving potential.
  • Build automated reporting systems and dashboards that provide real‑time IP performance metrics and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data infrastructure improvements and analytical tool development.
  • Partner with creative teams to translate data findings into acquisition recommendations and creative insights.
  • Partner with Content Strategy teams to support evaluation of IP‑based opportunities.
  • Conduct descriptive statistical analysis on content performance, audience engagement, and market dynamics.
  • Develop business analytics frameworks that measure ROI and strategic value of IP investments.
  • Present complex analytical findings to senior leadership through compelling data visualizations and strategic recommendations.
  • Support cross‑functional initiatives by providing insights that inform IP strategy and operational decisions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large‑scale, complex datasets.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, data modeling, and trend analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and creating executive‑level reporting dashboards.
  • Demonstrated passion for entertainment industry, storytelling, and intellectual property.
  • Knowledge of entertainment business models, content performance metrics, and IP market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical findings into business and creative insights.
  • Experience working collaboratively across creative, technical, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming experience in Python, R, or similar analytical languages.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, product development, AI tooling, and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of streaming platforms, content distribution, and digital entertainment analytics.
  • Background in entertainment industry data analysis, content research, or media analytics.
  • Experience building automated analytical tools and data infrastructure.
  • Understanding of international content markets and global streaming trends, with focus on adaptations.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross‑functional analytical initiatives.

The base salary range for this position is $141,300.00 – $191,100.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD & D insurance and optional Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line), Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
