Qualifications

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data/metrics for improvements.
  • Knowledge of data-focused tools such as Python, SQL, Alteryx or QuickSight.
  • 3+ years of Excel or Tableau for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing content licensing selection and portfolio optimization.

Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Prime Video customers are watching? We are currently seeking an experienced Content Acquisition Manager to join our Major Studios Licensing & Strategy team, focused on licensing content from all of the world's largest studios. Working alongside senior team members, you will support the execution of local content acquisition strategies with major studios, independent producers and distributors, TV network groups, and other niche content partners across a variety of business models, including flat fee licensing, pay for performance, and more. You will participate in negotiations and collaborate with content owners across the globe to help develop new business models and deliver results for both our stakeholders and customers. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in content negotiations while contributing analytical insights and learning from experienced acquisition leaders. You will partner with the team to evaluate content opportunities, support deal execution, and help drive engagement and value for Prime Video customers worldwide.

Key job responsibilities
  • Support the negotiation and execution of global/ multi-territory SVOD content licensing agreements on behalf of Prime Video with major studios, independent producers and distributors, TV network groups, and other partners across various business models, including flat fee licensing, pay per hour/pay for performance, and more.
  • Assist in managing content licensing selection and mix across multiple content categories, working closely with senior team members to optimize portfolio composition.
  • Analyze data on customer behavior, usage and consumption to provide insights that inform decision‑making for content acquisition and help identify new content genres for customers.
  • Internally, contribute to content acquisition plans, financial metrics, and goals for senior management by providing analytical support and performance tracking.
  • Externally, help establish and maintain strong relationships with content providers, supporting senior team members in partner engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of financial analysis, content performance forecasting, and technical requirements for video uploads and delivery to effectively support deal evaluation and execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Prime Video to support content strategies and execute content licensing agreements (e.g., legal, finance, marketing, etc.).
  • Maintain a can‑do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary. This is a hands‑on role that will work with cross‑functional teams to support the whole licensing process end‑to‑end (from discovery and evaluation to actual launch).
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar
  • 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
