The position is heavily focused on financial analysis, underwriting, and investment evaluation, requiring advanced Excel skills and the ability to build, review, and interpret complex financial models. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in real estate investment underwriting, preferably with a developer or an institutional real estate equity firm.

This is an investment-focused analytical position, not a land acquisition sourcing or project execution role. The individual will be responsible for evaluating the financial viability and potential returns of prospective development deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to assess investment risks and potential returns under varying market conditions.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities using key metrics such as IRR, equity multiples, cash-on-cash returns, and development yields.
  • Conduct financial due diligence and assess the underlying assumptions supporting prospective investment opportunities.
  • Prepare investment summaries, financial presentations, and supporting materials for senior leadership and investment committee review.
  • Collaborate with internal investment, acquisitions, and development teams to support deal evaluation and investment decision‑making.
  • Research market fundamentals, comparable transactions, rental rates, operating assumptions, and other relevant data to support underwriting.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate financial analysis, investment underwriting, or financial modeling.
  • Prior experience underwriting real estate investment opportunities, ideally with a real estate private equity firm, institutional equity group, investment firm, or developer.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated experience building and manipulating complex financial models.
  • Strong understanding of real estate investment metrics, development underwriting, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information, identify key investment drivers, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple investment opportunities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Compensation & Location
