Job summary

Irvine Technology Corporation is seeking a Senior Insider Risk Analyst to bolster its Insider Risk Program. You will investigate threats, analyze security events, and collaborate with IT, HR, Legal, and other teams to protect critical data and systems.

In this role you will monitor alerts, refine detection logic, document investigations, and contribute to risk mitigation initiatives while promoting security awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in insider risk or related fields.
• Experience with DLP, UEBA, or user activity monitoring.
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities to evaluate security events.

Senior Insider Risk Analyst

Our client is looking for a Senior Insider Risk Analyst to help strengthen and mature their Insider Risk Program. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative Information Security team where you’ll investigate insider threats, analyze security events, improve detection capabilities, and partner with teams across the organization to protect critical data and systems. If you enjoy investigations, threat analysis, and working cross-functionally to solve complex security challenges, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite / 1 day remote) – El Monte, CA

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $74,000 –$86,000 annually, plus bonus.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to insider risk, DLP, and security alerts to identify potential threats and policy violations.
• Conduct investigations involving unauthorized access, data loss, fraud, or other insider risk activities while documenting findings and recommending next steps.
• Improve detection capabilities by refining security monitoring rules, insider risk use cases, and response procedures.
• Partner with Information Security, IT, HR, Legal, and business stakeholders to support investigations and risk mitigation efforts.
• Promote security awareness through training initiatives and contribute to ongoing insider risk program improvements.

What Gets You the Job:

• 5+ years of experience in insider risk, insider threat, security operations, investigations, fraud, or risk analysis.
• Experience working with DLP, user activity monitoring, UEBA, or other security monitoring technologies.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to evaluate complex security events and recommend appropriate actions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, and security best practices.
• Financial services or banking industry experience is preferred.
