Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise experience
• Deep expertise in enterprise server hardware and storage configurations
• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and management tools
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise storage arrays (PowerStore, Pure Storage)
• Proven ability to consult with engineering stakeholders and document recommendations
• Strong Linux systems administration experience with hardware validation and performance diagnostics
• Strong Python and shell scripting for hardware automation

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Solutions Engineer (Compute & Storage) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape the compute and storage foundation that supports internal engineering workloads across a large-scale enterprise environment. You will translate workload requirements into standardized hardware configurations, ensuring the infrastructure is performant, reliable, and ready for deployment. The position also partners closely with engineering and platform operations teams to automate hardware management and maintain efficient on-premise systems.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal software engineering teams to analyze workload requirements and translate them into server and storage configurations.
• Design and maintain standard hardware configurations for various workload profiles.
• Serve as the primary technical contact with hardware vendors for configuration validation and product assessment.
• Own the lifecycle of on-premise compute and storage hardware, including capacity planning and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 8+ years of equivalent experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Deep expertise in enterprise server hardware, including CPU architectures and storage configurations.
• Extensive experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and management tools, plus knowledge of at least one other server platform.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise storage arrays, ideally Dell PowerStore and Pure Storage.
• Proven ability to consult with engineering stakeholders and document clear recommendations.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience, including hardware validation and performance diagnostics.
• Strong skills in Python and shell scripting for hardware automation.
