About The Team

Security is core to UKG. We seek a Security Engineer to join our dynamic team, focused on improving our application and infrastructure security posture.

About The Role

The Security Engineer will implement, maintain, and document security solutions and controls across the Enterprise, managing the security lifecycle, tools, accounts, security controls, and ensuring adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting security solutions to ensure FedRAMP compliance.
  • Manage Endpoint Security Detection and Response tools (e.g., Carbon Black, CrowdStrike), Data Loss Prevention solutions, Vulnerability Scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), and Cloud Security Posture Management frameworks.
  • Integrate security tools with Identity Provider systems, secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and manage system performance and security configurations.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance security monitoring, incident response, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates and secrets, generate compliance reports, and support audit processes.
  • Develop security requirements and ensure timely delivery of security tasks.

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years in security engineering, familiar with Malware Protection, EDR, FIM, vulnerability tools, compliance support.
  • 5+ years experience with security frameworks like NIST, CIS.
  • Knowledge of security controls such as Antimalware, GPOs, IPTables/NFTables, and IT infrastructure including SSO, SAML, DNS, Active Directory, remote access solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry security certifications (e.g., CSSP, CISSP).
  • Experience with cloud security, system hardening, networking, scripting, container tech, SSL/TLS, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s in Information Security or related fields.
