Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Senior Informatics professional to advance the development and optimization of the EHR, focusing on efficient usage, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with PMO, Epic teams, Quality & Safety, and BI to design data sources and support reporting, training, and rollout from inception to implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Clinical Healthcare, Computer Technology or related field required.
• Master's degree in Clinical Informatics preferred.
• 4 years of informatics, application build and support experience required.
• Proficient in Excel, SQL and Tableau for analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the electronic health record (EHR) to support efficient usage, quality initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with PMO, Epic Application Teams, Quality & Safety, and clinical integration to drive process improvements.
• Assist training and education; serve as SME for assigned projects and liaison with IS and operations.
• Work with BI to design and validate data sources for reporting on usage, quality and government requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provides expertise and support in the development and optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) related to efficient usage, quality initiatives and government and reimbursement regulations. Is an integral member of large system initiatives and teams that address quality initiatives and balanced scorecard metrics. Works closely with the executive Project Management Office (PMO), Epic Application Teams, Quality & Safety Organization as well as the clinical integration department and other stakeholders to facilitate process improvement that addresses clinical workflow and improved documentation and compliance. Highly involved from inception of project all the way through to rollout; assists with training and education. Acts as subject matter expert in managing assigned projects. Also, works closely with the Business Intelligence team to design and validate needed data sources to support the reporting needs of managing efficient usage, quality initiatives and government and reimbursement regulations. Supports the office of the CHIO to further other clinical and system priorities and acts as project liaison between IS and operations. Supports Core Measures to ensure PHC is meeting regulatory and governmental requirements for reporting. Provides expertise to the Informatics team in utilizing error prevention tools, change management processes and EMR optimization.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Clinical Healthcare, Computer Technology or Science, or a closely related field Required
• Master's degree in Clinical Informatics Preferred

Work Experience

• 4 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Informatics, Application build & support, or a closely related field Required
• Project management experience Preferred
• Analytical and reporting skills using tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau Required

Licenses and Certifications

• the appropriate Epic certification be successfully obtained for a specific area of assigned responsibility within 90 Days Required
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Registered Nurse with current Georgie licensure, or licensed/registered professional in a clinical healthcare area Preferred
