Job summary

KPIT is seeking a Senior Warehouse & In-Plant Logistics Engineer to design and optimize warehouse layouts, improve material handling, and drive lean improvements. The role requires deep expertise in layout development, simulation, and end-to-end logistics management within a manufacturing environment.

You will lead cross-functional projects, implement efficient processes, and collaborate with customers to deliver optimized logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in warehouse planning and in-plant logistics.
• Expertise in material handling and supply chain optimization.
• Hands-on experience with material flow simulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse setup activities, including high bay racking and infrastructure.
• Implement Lean principles to improve efficiency, cost, and productivity.
• Define and optimize processes for receiving, storage, and line-side delivery.
• Develop inventory strategies, KPIs, and benchmarking models.
• Conduct safety assessments and risk evaluations.
• Manage end-to-end projects (planning, execution, stakeholder communication).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure successful delivery.

Tools & Technologies

• Must Have: AutoCAD, MS Office
• Good to Have: SAP, WMS, Flow Planner

Nice to Have

• Experience in manufacturing / automotive environments
• Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with warehouse setup or transformation projects
