Position Overview

A leading industrial automation and technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Ignition Automation Engineer to support the development, integration, and maintenance of industrial SCADA and HMI systems within the upstream Oil & Gas industry.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on automation professional with strong experience using Inductive Automation's Ignition platform, developing SCADA applications, integrating PLCs and field devices, and supporting industrial control systems. The successful candidate will play an important role in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation solutions that support critical field operations.

This is a fully onsite position in Midland, TX. Candidates must be based in the Midland/Permian Basin area and able to work from the client office Monday through Friday. Participation in an after-hours and weekend support rotation is also required.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, configure, and maintain industrial SCADA and HMI applications using Inductive Automation Ignition.

Strong hands‑on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition.

Familiarity with OPC UA and industrial communication protocols.

Experience troubleshooting and commissioning automation systems.

Ability to work onsite in Midland, TX, Monday through Friday.

Must currently reside in the Midland/Permian Basin area.
