Job summary

BN Associates Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Designer with 10+ years in Oil & Gas, Refinery, and chemicals. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, SPI, and InTools, and knowledge of API and NFPA standards.

You will develop detailed I&E drawings, coordinate with site operations and LTTS teams, review deliverables for quality, and ensure safety protocols are followed. This role requires collaboration with multiple disciplines and vendors to maintain data integrity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Design.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals industries.
• Familiarity with API Standards codes and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Instrument design and 2D drafting using SPI and InTools.
• Develop instrumentation layouts, loop drawings, and control room drawings.
• Design low voltage power drawings and area classifications.
• Coordinate with site operations, project teams, and LTTS for scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed I&E deliverables and perform quality checks before client submission.
• Interface with LTTS India design team for scope discussions and reviews.
• Liaise with vendors for item updates and drawings.
• Ensure site safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to manage data flow.

Job description

Must have specific experience in Electrical Design. Instrumentation & Electrical Designer with 10+ years of experience of AutoCAD 2D Design, InTools and SPI in compliance with API Standards codes and NFPA standards in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals & other associated industries.

Responsibilities

• A. Instrumentation and Electrical Designer experienced 2D drafting, SPI and InTools experience
• B. Knowledge of Field Instrumentation, Loop Drawings, Instrumentation Layout drawings, Hook-up Drawings, JB Drawings and Control room FTA is highly desirable.
• C. Experience in Electrical design specially in low voltage (below 480V) is preferred. Experience in developing Area Classification drawing, One line diagram, Earthing/ Grounding Layout, Power drawings layout
• D. Responsible for working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop scope of work for LTTSE. Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and LTTS team for project requirements
• F. Develop detailed design drawings for I&E deliverables using AutoCAD and SPI.
• H. Interface with LTTS design team in India to coordinate about for project scope discussions and Design Review discussions
• I. Work with vendors for any vendor specific items and update the relevant I/E drawings.
• J. Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.
• K. Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed
• L. Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.
