Job summary

Celgard, LLC in Concord, NC seeks an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join the Maintenance team. The role reports to the Electrical Supervisor and involves operating, maintaining, inspecting, testing, and repairing HVAC systems within a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate degree or technical training in HVAC, with 10 years of industrial experience and the ability to troubleshoot electrical components. Some licenses are preferred and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or trade school in HVAC required.
• EPA 608 license preferred; will be required if hired.
• NC Electrician and Fire Sprinkler licenses preferred.

This position directly reports to the Electrical Supervisor and does not supervise others.**Shift**This is a day shift position. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.**Qualifications****Education Background:*** Associates degree in a technical related field, or completion of an accredited trade school in (HVAC) heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems or equivalent training required* EPA Clean Air Section 608 License preferred – Will be required to complete it if hired.* NC Electrician License preferred* NC Fire Sprinkler Maintenance Technician License preferred* Special courses in electrical, pneumatic, facility monitoring/control and power plant systems are preferred.**Knowledge & Experience**:* 10 years of experience in an industrial environment maintaining and repairing HVAC systems required* Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of AC/DC electrical systems required* Ability to repair and/or replace electrical components that make up HVAC systems required.* Must be able to work at heights up to 30 feet, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend and twist in order to reach remote equipment* Must be able to work overtime as needed* Flexibility to carry a cell phone for coverage and site wide communication.
