In pursuit of being Earth's Best Employer, our global Human Resources teams, known as People eXperience and Technology (PXT), drive business success by fostering a safe, inclusive, and innovative culture. Through the combination of employee engagement and technology, PXT empowers Amazonians whose dedication and creativity consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The Senior HR Manager is part of the NACF senior leadership team, partnering with leaders at multiple levels to develop strategies, set goals, and deliver business results. You'll own the end-to-end employee experience at the site(s), championing a culture of safety, inclusion, and service. This role requires balancing automation with human insight—leveraging technology, AI, and real-time data to enhance decision-making and support transformational initiatives. You'll lead a high-performing HR team, implementing strategies across employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. Success demands strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to drive scalable solutions across sites and regions.

The Senior HR Manager is a strategic, high-judgment leader responsible for delivering operational excellence and scalable PXT impact across the most complex sites. They translate enterprise people strategies into site execution, strengthen leadership capability, and drive systemic improvements in culture, performance, and risk.

You will be expected to work onsite at an Amazon facility, ensuring personal connection and hands-on leadership where needed.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own and create sustainable HR strategies that drive improvements in attrition, attendance, and engagement while setting clear vision for the HR team. Model, train, and coach behavioral expectations and hold operations and HR teams accountable for timely resolution of concerns and maintaining service excellence.
  • Work closely with Business Leader(s) as a strategic partner on all people-related decisions, providing leadership coaching and constructive feedback to enhance their capabilities while collaborating on strategies for equitable hiring, retention, development, and performance optimization to build strong, engaged teams.
  • Establish effective partnerships with specialized HR functions, including centers of excellence and shared services (e.g., compensation, staffing, recruiting). Challenge status quo and leverage technology to drive improved performance and employee experiences, scaling solutions across the site, region and beyond.
  • Collaborate with site and regional leadership teams to harmonize site-specific priorities in alignment with broader organizational goals, with particular focus on diversity & inclusion, employee experience, and talent management initiatives. Use data-driven insights to inform strategy and measure impact.
  • Lead, champion, and ensure follow-through on organizational and operational change initiatives. Remove barriers that impede change adoption, balance automation with human judgment, and respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities, challenges or obstacles. Demonstrate high judgment in decision-making while maintaining strong risk management and compliance standards.
  • Drive adoption and optimization of HR technology solutions to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and employee experience. Lead the HR team in developing digital fluency, leveraging analytics for decision-making, and utilizing AI to streamline processes while maintaining a human-centered approach.
A day in the life

Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic partnership and hands-on people management. You'll navigate multiple priorities, from leadership development to employee engagement initiatives. Balancing immediate needs with long-term objectives, you'll respond to time-sensitive matters while driving strategic workforce planning. Using cutting-edge AI-powered analytics, you'll derive real-time insights to tackle challenges in attrition, attendance, and engagement. You'll collaborate closely with business leaders, guiding them through critical decisions and change management processes. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing key performance indicators and implementing data-driven solutions. From the production floor to strategy meetings, you'll keep a pulse on workplace culture while steering organizational initiatives. You'll develop and empower your team to leverage innovative HR technologies, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiencies. In this fast-paced environment, you'll have numerous opportunities to innovate and create meaningful impact across your site(s) and broader organization.
