Job Location: Chicago

This role will be based at the Old Post Office in downtown Chicago. 3 days onsite per week is required.

Ferrara is seeking an HR Business Partner to operate as a strategic partner for our Corporate functions at our headquarters in Chicago, IL. The role involves providing expert advice, influencing organizational change, coaching management at all levels, supporting talent recruitment and engagement, training, and executing HR and Business Transformation initiatives.

Ways you will make a difference

  1. Provide full scope HR Business Partner support in areas such as performance management, talent management, retention strategy, employee relations, workforce planning, hiring, policy and procedure interpretation, compensation, training, etc.
  2. Offer consultation, recommendations, and guidance to leadership and employees across various teams.
  3. Partner with centers of excellence to implement initiatives promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and talent development.
  4. Navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with autonomy.
  5. Communicate effectively and influence at all levels, collaborating with HR team members.
  6. Mediate difficult employee relations as a neutral party.
  7. Identify gaps in current practices and implement improvements.
  8. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with policies and procedures, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, etc.

  1. Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  2. Strong influencing skills and proactive engagement with all organizational levels.
  3. Knowledge of employment laws and wage and hour requirements.
  4. Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong organizational, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
  6. Negotiation and sound judgment capabilities.

Experiences that will support your success

  1. BA/BS in HR Management, Business Administration, or related discipline. Masters preferred.
  2. SHRM Certification is a plus.
  3. 7+ years in a full scope HR generalist role, preferably in CPG, manufacturing, or operations.
  4. Experience with projects related to mergers, high growth, or dynamic change.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The salary range is $112,425 - $157,395 annually.
