Job summary

The role is not a conventional design position but a high‑level technical advisory position responsible for interpreting the complex DOE orders and federal regulations, guiding field teams, and ensuring compliance during outages and maintenance. Qualifications

• Extensive nuclear facility management / maintenance experience.
• Experience with Hazardous Energy Control / LOTO and electrical safety advisory work.
• Regulatory knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, 10 CFR 851, DOE Orders 422.1, 426.2 and 433.1B.
• Conduct investigations and assessments; support corrective actions and facility evaluations.
• Procedural ownership and senior advisory experience; SRS 8Q-10, 8Q-32, 18Q-2 and 8Q-122 knowledge preferred; SERB/SLIC exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level technical advisory on HEC and electrical safety.
• Interpret and apply regulatory requirements to field operations.
• Lead investigations, determine root causes, and track corrective actions.
• Develop and own procedures related to energy control and safety in nuclear settings.

Priority Requirement Screening guidance

• 1 Extensive nuclear facility management / maintenance Required: facility maintenance, electrical maintenance, audits, metrics, Conduct of Operations, DOE/site compliance
• 2 Hazardous Energy Control / LOTO and electrical safety Technical advisory expertise, interpretation and field implementation
• 3 Regulatory knowledge Required: OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, 10 CFR 851, DOE Orders 422.1, 426.2 and 433.1B
• 4 Investigations and assessments Occurrence/reportability support, corrective actions, facility assessments and technical committees
• 5 Procedure ownership and senior advisory work SRS 8Q-10, 8Q-32, 18Q-2 and 8Q-122 experience preferred; SERB/SLIC exposure a plus

Preferred: 20+ years at SRS; progression through E&I mechanic, planner/scheduler, work control, nuclear maintenance management, facility evaluator, SME and technical advisor. SRS experience is preferred, not explicitly mandatory.
