Job summary

COMPA Industries, a leader in national security and complex facility services, seeks a senior Advisory Engineer to guide Hazardous Energy Control and electrical-safety programs at Savannah River Site. This role requires advanced technical expertise, independence, and the ability to shape site-wide direction and compliance with DOE/NNSA and NFPA 70E standards.

You will mentor SMEs, interpret procedures, interface with DOE, and represent the site in oversight forums.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with extensive experience in safety/compliance roles.
• Expertise in Hazardous Energy Control and electrical safety program integrity.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance and interface with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Hazardous Energy Control technical advisor for site safety and compliance.
• Mentor SMEs on procedures covering lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices.
• Develop interpretations for HEC and electrical-safety procedures and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Interface with DOE, NNSA, and other regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
• Lead or support investigations, assessments, and corrective actions; participate in safety boards.
