Overview

We are seeking a Temp to Perm Sr. Graphic Designer specializing in Sleepwear for a leading fashion company in New York, NY. This role involves executing the seasonal design development process from concept to delivery, creating trend-appropriate designs that meet market needs and drive sales, while ensuring timely completion of each stage.

Responsibilities

• Research trend directions, perform competitive analysis, and review fabrics, design concepts, presentation boards, mock-ups, and inspirational photos.
• Develop initial seasonal design categories aligned with larger assortment and cost structure.
• Create designs based on style plans, sales needs, and emerging trends; adhere to product development timelines.
• Produce Illustrator sketches, review specification sheets and line sheets, and maintain accurate design archives and logs in the PLM system.
• Select and review raw materials and trims, maintaining the fabric/trim library.
• Approve lab dips, review prints and graphics, and manage the fit process.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, managing communication effectively.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and support leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of relevant experience in adult and kids sleepwear design; experience with Character Licenses is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
• Creative, technically skilled, with a good sense of merchandising; ability to sketch.
• Extensive knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, colorways, sewing techniques, fabrication, and trims; print design experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and Mac systems.
