Job summary

SourceFly in Columbia, MD, is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer with an active DoD clearance to develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and related multimedia content for government staff and agencies nationwide.

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, implement responsive HTML/CSS, and ensure accessibility, production standards, and proper clearances across web and digital products. A Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BFA degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Active DoD clearance (Secret and above).
• Experience leading graphics, digital media, cartography, and multimedia products.

Responsibilities

• Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and multimedia products.
• Provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests using request management tools.
• Coordinate with UI/UX designer to ensure engaging, user-friendly graphics.
• Create designs for web pages, mobile apps, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, logos, and more.
• Ensure compliance with production standards, accessibility, and public release clearances.
• Build HTML/CSS concepts for responsive design; perform quality checks.

The candidate will support Government staff in the following:

• Develops graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
  
• Utilizes request management tools to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests
  
• Coordinates with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience
  
• Creates graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products
  
• Develops design concepts and implements designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online
  
• Ensures products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances
  
• Conducts technical quality checks
  
• Manages an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles
  
• Provides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference maps
  

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BFA degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience
