Job summary

ITA Group, an employee-owned engagement and loyalty company in West Des Moines, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to create, design, and produce high-quality print and electronic communications for complex projects.

The candidate will collaborate with internal and external clients within Marketing Communications, applying strong creative vision and production skills, and will mentor team members while managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a Graphic Designer.
• Strong conceptual and production skills.
• Experience with print and digital media.
• Ability to articulate design rationale to clients.

Responsibilities

• Create, design and produce quality print and electronic communications.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients in Marketing Communications.
• Mentor and guide junior designers.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Review own work before presenting to clients.

Sr. Graphic Designer

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Senior Graphic Designer creates, designs and produces quality, creative and effective print and electronic communication solutions for more complex projects with internal and external clients of the Marketing Communications department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a Graphic Designer in an advertising agency or similar environment.
• Strong creative abilities and the ability to develop innovative ideas and concepts.
• Working understanding of effective design and communication, including conceptualization, production artwork, pre-press, printing technologies and web, Internet, design, software technologies.
• Mac experience required. Software experience must include: Creative Suite: Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to review own design work and critique it prior to presentation to internal or external clients.
• Ability to explain design rationale to internal and/or external clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage personal workflow and schedules even in the midst of stressful and difficult circumstances.
• Ability to provide mentorship to other team members in the Senior Graphic Designer role.
• Ability to work well with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds and produce high quality deliverables.
• Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
• Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
