Qualifications

Job Summary:

  • Pre-Award: Oversees preparation and submission of research proposals, ensures documentation meets criteria, collaborates with lab staff and Principal Investigators, liaises with sponsors, and manages JIT submissions and records.
  • Post-Award/Financial: Ensures fiscal compliance, approves expenditures, monitors budgets, collaborates with hospital departments, manages financial reports, and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
  • Research Compliance: Acts as primary resource for regulatory updates, ensures compliance with all regulations, reviews cost transfers, and assists with effort reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; experience may substitute for degree.
  • Research administration experience of 3-5 years required.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, accounting software.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle large financial data accurately.
  • Knowledge of research funding guidelines and policies.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
