Sr Global Demand and Inventory Specialist

Job Overview

The Sr Global Demand and Inventory Specialist plays a key role in optimizing supply and demand alignment over short- and medium-term horizons. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while ensuring the right products are available across all warehouse locations. Additionally, the role involves implementing efficient procedures to enhance inventory management and streamline operations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Leadership Development: Design and implement scalable global programs, oversee project planning and execution, lead systemic development initiatives including IFS enhancements, develop documentation, conduct training, and oversee program implementation.
  • Tactical Leadership: Drive data analysis and reporting efforts, mentor team members, evaluate global business needs, and focus on high-impact objectives.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, develop systemic solutions, and lead cross-functional teams to optimize operations.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Utilize analytics tools to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels, analyze sales trends, and predict future demand.
  • Address supply-demand gaps, optimize allocation strategies, and develop reporting tools to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate forecasts and product availability with various teams to ensure service levels.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and demand forecasting.
  • Experience in inventory planning in a global context.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, forecasting applications, and data visualization platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • 5+ years of business experience and 4+ years in demand and inventory analysis/management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Railroad Certifications (ability to obtain and maintain).
  • CPIM Certification.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and ERP systems (IFS preferred).
Working Conditions
  • Office work with sitting, walking, phone, and computer use.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Travel up to 15% internationally.
