The **Sr. G****eotech** will be responsible for data and project management associated with the geoscience Portfolio team. In addition, the candidate will collaborate across asset teams to ensure data integration throughout the organization. The position is directly responsible for data quality control, managing databases, support of GIS mapping and analysis, and delivery of files, reports and analysis to support technical work within the geoscience team as well as supporting daily oil & gas operations.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Provide technical support and best workflow practices for geoscientists that generate, high-grade, and drill oil and gas opportunities* Work across disciplines with technicians and analysts to ensure consistent data management strategies.* Create and manage well and seismic projects and ensure geoscience staff are accessing current and accurate data in support of near-term business development opportunities.* Import/Export and quality control of seismic, well, and culture data to and from various applications; syncing data across projects and systems.* Able to navigate government and industry databases to ensure high quality data are provided to geoscientists across all onshore US basins.* Collaborates with data analytics teams in engineering and IT to ensure geoscience products are maintained for quantitative analysis.* Assists geoscientists interfacing with GIS teams to generate maps of spatial data.* Keeps supervisor informed of progress and may recommend procedural/operational changes* Maintain Crescent’s subsurface studies database.* Build and maintain Crescent’s geoscience competitive intelligence maps and databases* Develops and maintains strong external relationships with representatives from state and federal agencies, TGS, IHS, S&P and Enverus* Establishes and maintains highly confidential record files for reference use* Orders or downloads logs and other records* Accumulates and analyzes data for reports, makes log cross sections* Transfers and loads digital log and map data* Makes computations and calculations to assist geologists in their analysis* Assists geologists in the preparation of various reports, plans and budgets* Ensures timely completion and accuracy of assigned projects**Qualifications****Required Education, Experience, Licensure*** Bachelor’s Degree* 15+ Years of oil & gas industry experience* Experience with Kingdom (required) and Petra (preferred) software packages* Experience supporting geophysical data management* Point contact with external O&G data sources like IHS, Enverus and TGS* Familiarity with public data sources, including state and federal data in both Texas and New Mexico* Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint* Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle**Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure*** B.S./B.A. Degree in math, science or related field* Significant experience with an E&P Company engaged in unconventional resource development* Proficiency in project and database management* GIS knowledge and experience, specifically QGIS software* Oil & gas data analysis and interpretation* Familiarity with Spotfire and/or Power BI* Development planning and/or operations experience is a plus**Required Core Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*** Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities* Ability to research information* Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy* Strong computer skills and technology skills* Ability to understand when to work independently with minimal supervision and when to contribute as part of a team* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form* Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot, develop and implement solutions* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills* Demonstrate high ethical and professional behavior* Able to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and deadlines* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and foster and encourage teamwork* Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures*Crescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
