Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Store Manager in Michigan to drive sales and deliver a superior guest experience. You will work with the Area Manager on inventory control, team development, and product knowledge to boost store performance.

You will lead up to 25+ team members, focus on upsell tactics, data analytics, and collaboration with marketing and procurement to grow revenue while maintaining compliance and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in the cannabis industry.
• Leadership background with large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Must be 21+ and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 25+ team members including training and development.
• Improve sales month over month in collaboration with marketing and procurement.
• Manage inventory to reduce shrinkage and optimize par levels and sell-throughs.

Store Manager

Reports to: Area Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Retail
Location: Buchanan & New Buffalo
Pay Range: DOE

Position Summary:

The store manager's primary goal is to improve sales and create a positive guest experience. The store manager will work with the area manager through inventory management and control, team members' support, and development of product knowledge, upsell tactics, and data analytics to improve overall store performance.

Responsibilities:

• Daily tasks: The exact work you do.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Training, developing, and aligning up to 25+ Team members.
  • Sales Expertise: Responsible for improving sales month over month. Working with marketing and procurement teams to promote sales, increasing revenue.
  • Inventory Control: Reducing product shrinkage by reducing aging inventory/inventory expirations, understanding your inventory par levels, and sell-throughs.
  • Compliance: Understanding Michigan compliance requirements to confidently walk through state inspections, reducing deficiencies.
• Goals: The results you must reach.
  • Improving sales consistently month over month.
  • Team education on expected sales metrics.
  • Reducing aging and expiring products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Assistant Store Manager (When applicable)
• Retail Leads
• Budtenders
• BOH Clerks

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in the cannabis industry
• Leadership background, for large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Experience in sales preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

• The environment can be loud
• Atmosphere & Pace: Fast-paced and energetic. The floor features specialized product displays (flower, edibles, concentrates). Staff must be adaptable to busy rushes, as wait times and long lines are common during peak hours
