Wizards of the Coast is seeking an experienced Unreal Engine C++ engineer to join a new AAA project in the Raleigh-Durham area. The role involves designing and implementing core game systems, collaborating with designers, engineers, and artists to deliver a high-quality experience.

You will write clean, portable code, estimate effort, and contribute innovative ideas while working with a team across departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing AAA titles.
• Advanced understanding of C++ and software design.
• Proficient in fundamentals of 3D math.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Able to collaborate with designers, engineers and artists across departments.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

That’s where you come in! Atomic Arcade is a brand-new video game development studio located in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area led by industry veterans from AAA game and film studios. We are in the process of staffing up our development team with outstanding talent to build our first multi-platform, AAA game - a bold and contemporary new take on the GI JOE Universe starring the legendary character Snake Eyes! What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain game systems using Unreal Engine 5
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and artists to bring the game experience to a AAA level
• Write clear, performant, maintainable, and portable code
• Author and improve game systems on all applicable platforms
• Accurately estimate effort and deliver high quality results
• Contribute innovative and original ideas on all aspects of game development
• Provide high quality code review feedback

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years experience developing AAA titles

Compensation

Currency USD: Starting Pay Range: $129,200 Pay Range End: $215,520
