Job summary

Mitratech is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own features across a mature Rails monolith and Go microservices. You will enhance candidate portals, partner flows, I-9 workflows, and admin tools, while advancing AI-powered screening and automation.

Expect ownership from design through deployment in a high‑security, fast‑moving SaaS environment. You should bring strong Go and PostgreSQL skills, REST API experience, and comfort with server‑rendered frontends; this role supports 100% remote

Qualifications

• Production experience with b2b SaaS apps.
• Strong Go skills or backend with HTTP services and concurrency.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills and relational data modeling.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and third‑party integrations (webhooks, OAuth, SFTP).
• Comfort with server-rendered frontends and writing well tested code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features across the Rails monolith and Go microservices—candidate portals, partner flows, I-9 workflows, and admin tools.
• Extend our ATS and partner integrations.
• Orchestrate asynchronous vendor searches and reporting pipelines.
• Use AI in workflows, pair with AI coding assistants, and leverage AI code reviews.
• Build AI-powered features like document parsing and smarter screening workflows.
• Own the full lifecycle: build, test, review, ship, and monitor.

Job Overview

We're a background screening and occupational health platform that takes background checks from order to final report: candidate PII collection, vendor orchestration, adjudication, and compliance‑ready delivery, all under one roof.

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who's equally at home in a mature Rails monolith and a fleet of fast, focused Go services. Someone who enjoys owning features end‑to‑end in a domain where correctness, security, and speed all genuinely matter.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and build features across the Rails monolith and Go microservices — candidate portals, partner flows, I-9 workflows, and internal admin and adjudication tools.
• Extend our ATS and partner integrations.
• Orchestrate asynchronous vendor searches and reporting pipelines.
• Use AI throughout your workflow, pair with AI coding assistants, leverage automated AI code review on every PR, and use agentic tools to move faster without cutting corners.
• Help build AI‑powered features into the platform: intelligent document parsing, structured extraction from vendor records, and smarter automation of screening and adjudication workflows.
• Own the full lifecycle of your work: build it, test it (including major UX paths), get it reviewed, ship it, and monitor it.

Requirements & Skills

• Strong production experience with b2b SaaS applications.
• Solid Go skills, or equivalent backend experience with HTTP services, background workers, and comfort with concurrency.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills and good instincts for relational data modeling.
• A track record building and consuming REST APIs and third‑party integrations (webhooks, OAuth, SFTP); mcp experience is a plus.
• Comfort with server‑rendered frontends (ERB/HTML/CSS) and a habit of writing well tested code.

We will disclose intended pay ranges in our job ads for US‑based opportunities – This role can be performed 100% remote anywhere in the US. Anticipated Pay Range: $155k – $170k Annually USD

Total compensation includes US employee benefits and annual bonus eligibility.
