Job summary

Talon Outdoor in New York is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to partner with senior leadership, delivering financial insights, forecasting, and analytical support to drive business performance and informed decision-making.

The successful candidate will own core FP&A processes, lead reporting and planning activities, and work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency and profitability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proficient in data analysis and working with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist leadership with annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-range planning for assigned areas.
• Oversee pipeline reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Own monthly financial reporting and variance analysis with actionable insights.
• Support month-end close activities including accrual analysis and revenue reviews.
• Partner with department heads to monitor performance against budget and identify risks/opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial transparency and performance.
• Identify optimization opportunities in media performance through data.
• Prepare executive-level presentations for leadership meetings and board reports.
• Create slide templates, charts and graphs to enhance visual storytelling of reports.

THE ROLE_

We are seeking a motivated and strategic individual to join our team as a Senior FP&A Analyst in the Finance Team at Talon Outdoor. This role will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights, forecasting, and analytical support to drive business performance and informed decision-making. The successful candidate will take ownership of core FP&A processes, lead reporting and planning activities, and play a key role in identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency, and profitability across the organization.

A DAY IN THE LIFE_

• Assist leadership with the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes for assigned business areas.
• Oversee pipeline reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery across all teams.
• Own monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to business leaders and executive management.
• Support month-end close activities, including accrual analysis, revenue reviews, and management reporting.
• Partner with department heads to monitor performance against budget and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial transparency and business performance.
• Help identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in media performance through data
• Prepare executive-level presentations for leadership meetings, board reporting, and strategic planning discussions.
• Support in the creation of slide templates, charts, and graphs to enhance the visual story telling of media reports and presentations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR_

• Advanced skills in PowerPoint, with the ability to create visually appealing and effective presentations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
• Basic understanding of media planning, advertising principles, and digital marketing.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with media research tools, analytics platforms, or data visualization software is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

• Proficient in data analysis and working with spreadsheets, Excel, and other relevant software.
