Volvo Group, including Mack Trucks, seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst in Greensboro, NC to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business performance management. You will partner with finance leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver insightful analyses for leadership decision-making.

You will drive monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and investment processes, leveraging Hyperion Essbase/Planning and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

As a Senior FP&A Analyst you will play a critical role in supporting Mack Trucks financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business performance management processes. You will work closely with the Mack FP&A Manager, finance leadership and business stakeholders across the organization to deliver insightful analysis that supports strategic and operational decision-making.

Success in this role leverages strong analytical, financial modeling, and business partnering skills to drive business performance, support investment decisions, and help leadership achieve Mack's 2030 strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close and reporting activities by preparing detailed variance analyses and performance insights.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc financial reports, presentations and support material for leadership reviews and business meetings.
• Serve as a key finance partner in supporting Mack's 2030 strategy by translating strategic initiatives into financial plans, performance metrics, investment analyses, and executive reporting that enables informed leadership decision-making.
• Partner with other controllers and cross functional representatives within the organization.
• Take an active part in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of periodic forecasts, annual business plans, and financial projections for all of Mack Trucks.
• Responsible for the Investment Process, including investment decision and payment template.
• Active involvement in projects, process improvement initiatives, internal controls, and governance activities as needed
• Leader for internal process and tool improvement initiatives.
• You will be our Hyperion Financial Planning and Essbase Super User, and will have overall responsibility for managing both systems.

Preferred Skills

• Strong financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analytical skills.
• Experience developing financial models and scenario analysis.
• Understanding of how financial performance links to strategic business objectives.
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to translate data and numbers into storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning or similar reporting and planning tools preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other similar accounting software systems.
• Hands on experience using Power Platform tools a plus.
• Experience dealing with multiple currencies and exchange rates preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Control, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Prior experience with consolidations and financial reporting a plus.
• Manufacturing, automotive, or industrial business experience preferred.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $83,500.00 - $103,100.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certificates, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
