Job summary

Mike Albert Fleet Solutions seeks an experienced accounting professional to safeguard NetSuite ERP data integrity and support the monthly financial close. You will coordinate with a third-party NetSuite provider, oversee period ends, and maintain the chart of accounts and journal entries.

You will also handle NetSuite administration tasks, test updates with IT and guide new users to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum three years accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.

Responsibilities

Job description

This position is responsible for maintaining integrity of data for business conducted on NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as well as participating in the preparation and analysis of financial transactions to ensure accuracy of financial statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for the administration NetSuite with the support of a third-party provider

Accounting:

• Manage accounting periods (Monthly/Quarterly/Fiscal)
• Update the chart of accounts and item codes in NetSuite as needed
• Calculate, prepare, and enter various month-end journal entries into the general ledger
• Review account activity and financial statements and issues as identified
• Learn the asset, lease, and loan subledgers and related processes to serve as a backup for the accounting areas

NetSuite Administration:

• Update user roles and administer user access permissions
• Update searches and reports to accommodate data requests or to monitor data integrity and alerts
• Coordinate with the IT (Information Technology) department for NetSuite semi-annual updates
• Request fields, forms, workflows, or other custom changes from third party support provider and coordinate testing and validation before implementation
• Understand business process flows through accounting in order to identify and resolve minor issues as well as open tickets with third party IT support for significant issues
• Provide guidance to new users with NetSuite
• Update the codes in legacy lease management system and ensure appropriate mapping to NetSuite

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum three years accounting experience
• General system and related business process flow understanding
• Preferred experience working with NetSuite implementation or administration
• Working knowledge of Account Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel
• Proven ability to evaluate data, identify trends and provide analysis
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels in the organization
