Job description

We aggregate data from disparate environments to construct Customer Lifetime Value models that underpin all facets of the business: customer acquisition, recurring revenue streams, costs for ongoing service, upgrades/changes in the services provided, the expected lifetime of the customer, etc. These models form the basis for financial analysis and evaluation of a wide array of business decisions, both tactical and strategic in nature.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and refine estimates for allocations of cost and revenue and attrition across meaningful dimensions, including but not limited to lines of business, customer segments, risk profiles, products/solutions, and sales channels.
  • Establish and document a repeatable method for ensuring models are refreshed to reflect changes in the business.
  • Help the finance teams who support various functions across the enterprise standardize the discounted cashflow model framework that is most appropriate for the decision at hand.
  • Deliver subscriber economics model on a quarterly cadence complete with insights, variances, and trends.
  • Develop standard cashflow model templates designed to assist with ad hoc modeling.
Skills and Competencies
  • High proficiency with discounted cashflow modeling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that focus on effective persuasion.
  • Natural comfort with numbers and a strong quantitative mindset.
  • Ability to connect the dots and understand the second/third order effects.
  • Ability to see the big picture, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and focus on what matters.
  • Effectively break down complex data and analysis for non-technical audience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related experience in an analytical role; 5+ years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance, analytics, or accounting.
  • Proficiency with Smart View/Essbase.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office – advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
