MyMichigan Health is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support sites in Clare, Alma, Gladwin, or West Branch with hybrid remote options after onboarding.
The role combines accounting and financial analysis, including budgeting, cost reporting, GAAP interpretation, and EPSi decision support. You'll contribute to standard costs, reporting, and data analysis to drive informed management decisions.
*This role helps support sites in Clare, Alma, Gladwin, or West Branch and will be primarily officed in any of those locations. This position can be a hybrid remote position up to two days per week following completion of 90-day onboarding at discretion of the manager.*
The Financial Analyst II can do either (or both) the Accountant role or the Financial Analyst role below. This Accountant position may be responsible for the preparation, accuracy, completeness, and analysis of financial statements and related financial information including, but not limited to, reconciliations, tax returns, annual audits, budgets, projections, cost reports, and fixed assets. Research and interpretation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations is required to assure conformance in reporting. Assists subsidiaries and provides management and other employees within the organization with financial analysis and information used for decision making. The Financial Analyst assists with the support of the MyMichigan Health’s Decision Support System (EPSi) through the analysis and evaluation of the financial and operational performance of health system’s affiliates. Responsibilities include leading in the development, analysis and maintenance of standard costs, cost allocations, productivity standards and standard cost accounting methodologies. Assist in the maintenance of the Decision Support System (EPSi) and the data interfaced to the system. Development of operating and capital budgets. Provide analytical support for special projects, development of long range planning forecasts and other projects requested by members of Administration and Management Teams. Work with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to develop tools for the efficient distribution of timely, accurate and pertinent management data.

Education: Bachelors Degree
Comments: Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Finance, Business related field required. Experience with financial system, integrated financial decision support system with clinical components, strongly preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification preferred.
Knowledge of cost accounting and general ledger and preparing financial statements as normally acquired through 3 years of experience working in a medical center or similar setting, required.
Knowledge of data analysis interpretation, writing skills, and complete knowledge of Microsoft Suite required.
Ability to work in teams in collaborative manner.

Tuberculosis (TB) testing must be done according to MIOSHA(Michigan Occupational Safety Health Administration) standards.
Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)training must be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
