Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to support company-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role emphasizes accurate insights, collaboration with leaders, and driving financial performance. On-site work is required with relocation support provided.

You will analyze revenue, expenses, headcount, and KPIs; build driver-based models; and prepare executive materials. A strong background in finance and technical tools is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or related experience.
  • Strong Excel skills, BI tools, and knowledge of SQL or Python.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to summarize data clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: assist in annual budgets and re-forecasts for corporate functions or business units.
  • Update models with actuals, assumptions, and inputs.
  • Support scenario analyses on revenue, margins, and costs.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports; explain variances.
  • Create standard reporting packages and dashboards for leadership.
  • Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, headcount, and KPIs.
  • Support ad hoc analyses (cost savings, vendor spend, headcount planning).
  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models.
  • Coordinate with Accounting on month-end close for accruals.
  • Prepare materials for executive reviews and board meetings.
  • Contribute to FP&A process improvements.

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. We are seeking an analytical, creative, and forward-thinking Sr. Financial Analyst who is passionate about building solutions. This role supports company-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role helps provide leadership with clear, accurate financial insights and contributes to improving the company’s financial performance and decision-making. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Ability to work full-time on-site is required, and relocation assistance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts for corporate functions and/or business units
  • Update financial models with latest actuals, assumptions, and business inputs
  • Support scenario analysis and sensitivity testing on revenue, margin, and cost drivers
  • Management Reporting Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports comparing actuals vs. budget/forecast
  • Help explain variances through data analysis and collaboration with functional leaders
  • Support creation of standard reporting packages and dashboards for senior leadership
  • Financial Analysis Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, headcount, and key performance indicators
  • Support ad hoc analyses (e.g., cost savings, investment cases, vendor spend, headcount planning)
  • Assist in building and maintaining driver-based financial models
  • Corporate Support Partner with Accounting on month-end close to ensure accurate accruals and reclasses
  • Help prepare materials for executive reviews, Board meetings, and other stakeholder presentations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, templates, and tools
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or related field
  • Strong Excel skills, BI tools, and knowledge of SQL or Python
  • Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to summarize complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities
  • High level of integrity, ownership, and willingness to learn

Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $124,476.00 - $174,265.35 Other site ranges may differ
