Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Finance Operations team. This role can be based in our Palo Alto, CA office or fully remote in the US, supporting government and commercial programs by partnering with PMs and CAMs to oversee baselines, EACs, and risks.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, or equivalent with substitution allowed.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience developing program budgets and EACs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CAMs and Program Managers to oversee baselines, EACs and risks & opportunities.
  • Track weekly actuals, analyze month-end variances, and prepare monthly T&M billings.
  • Support AOP processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles.
  • Forecast Milestone Billings for enterprise cash planning.
  • Monitor Limitation of Funds on cost-type contracts.
  • Serve as a financial business partner to CAMs and Program Managers.
  • Provide ad hoc financial modeling and analysis for projects and process improvements.

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to work within our Finance Operations team. This role can be based in our Palo Alto, CA office or also be based remotely in the US. This position will support a mix of government and commercial programs, by partnering with Program Managers and CAMs to oversee baselines, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and risks/opportunities. In this position, you will analyze and interpret financial data into operational recommendations to improve program performance and communicate risk to the EAC. The position also contributes to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly financial cycles.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with CAMs and Program Managers to oversee program Baselines, EACs and Risk & Opportunities
  • Track weekly actuals incurred, analyze month-end variances, and prepare monthly Time & Material (T&M) billings
  • Support Maxar's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles
  • Manage the forecasting of Milestone Billings for enterprise cash planning
  • Monitor Limitation of Funds on cost-type contracts
  • Become a key financial business partner to CAMs and Program Managers
  • Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis and support special projects and process improvements within Finance
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Experience in developing program budgets and EACs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with government contracts
  • Self-starter / Takes initiative to provide recommendations and highlight issues
  • Superior analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management level personnel
  • Very strong skills with Excel and other MS office applications
  • Active team player and works well under pressure
  • Organized, detail oriented individual with ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy of information
  • Integrity with confidential information
  • Creativity in solving complex problems
  • Ability to work independently in support of team objectives

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

  • The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within California is: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
