Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Program Finance team. Role can be based in our Palo Alto, CA office or remote in the US.

You will manage day-to-day financial planning, weekly/monthly reporting, and support the company’s satellite programs and R&D initiatives with strong cost analysis and budgeting skills. You will collaborate with Program Managers, CAMs, CFO, and senior leaders to ensure accurate forecasting, monthly reviews, and effective cost control

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
  • Experience with Cost Plus reporting (e.g., NASA 533M/533Q).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics; four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years total experience, with at least 4 years in a Financial Analyst role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee spend across programs including cost of sales, R&D, and capital expenditures.
  • Lead monthly Cost-Plus analysis and reporting.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis to identify program risk and opportunities.
  • Review weekly labor and non-labor expenses; provide metrics and forecast against budgets.
  • Support annual operating plan (AOP) processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles.

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to work within our Program Finance team. This role can be based either in our Palo Alto, CA office or remotely in the US. This position will support multiple programs, for whom they will manage and oversee day-to-day financial planning processes, including weekly/monthly reporting and other program needs. The Program Finance team works closely with the Program Managers, CFO and senior executives to plan the business and allocate budget and resources to the company's satellite programs and other strategic R&D initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Program Managers and CAMs to oversee all spend, including cost of sales, R&D expenses and capital expenditures as they pertain to the programs.
  • Take the lead on monthly Cost-Plus analysis and reporting
  • Perform monthly variance analysis for these costs, using this analysis to identify program risk and opportunities
  • Review weekly labor and non labor expenses and provide metrics to the program team. Track monthly spend against forecasts highlighting issues. Help CAMs to find trade-offs to keep spend within budget
  • Provide cost analysis in support of contract change orders for assigned programs
  • Assist in leading monthly reviews for program financial forecasting to create and maintain accurate forecasts
  • Support Lanteris Space Systems's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles
  • Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis
  • Support special projects and process improvements within Finance
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident
  • Experience with Cost Plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 4 years in a Financial Analyst role
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SAP/Tableau/Alteryx
  • Experience working with Cost Plus reporting (ex. NASA 533M and 533Q forms)
  • Prior experience in an aerospace/Defense environment
  • Superior analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management level personnel
  • Master level skills with Excel and other MS office applications
  • Active team player and works well under pressure
  • Organized, detail oriented individual with ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy of information
  • Integrity with confidential informationCreativity in solving complex problems
  • Ability to work independently in support of team objectives

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

  • The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00 annually.
  • The base pay for this position within California is: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
